This is the team that keeps the club ticking over!
All Committee members are to work together to create a harmonious environment for all club members to enjoy when at 'The Anchorage' & / or social events.

Steve Vokes

Commodore
Meeting chairperson, has deciding vote in the event of even counts, represents the club at any interclub functions / meetings, attends club functions, contacts members if any concerns or action required and monthly report for newsletter.

Craig McPhillips

Vice Commodore
Stands in for Commodore if required, organises & oversees social events, organises all function venues, catering, fundraising, attendance requirements, organises return of perpetual trophies & all engraving needed, monthly report for newsletter.

Jason Mayhew

Rear Commodore
Organises working bees & keeps record of attendance for Vice Commodore, oversees major repairs & improvements at Anchorage, supports Anchorage Captain, monthly report for newsletter.

Jenny Townsend

Honorary Secretary
Minutes from all committee meetings, new member enquiries, all inwards / outwards correspondence, ordering annual registration stickers, keys, flags, keeping of up-to-date membership list, meeting with solicitors, councils, review / update club membership application / code of conduct documents etc if required.

Sharon Bakon

Honorary Treasurer
Managing club finances through Xero program, banking, keeping financial reports / receipts, dealing with accountant, insurer & auditor, stock figures, incoming / outgoing expenses, preparing / printing of annual membership renewals, invoicing for membership / newsletter advertising and financial report for AGM.

Jade Schmidt

  • Responsible for day to day running of Anchorage ie campers, ordering diesel, toilet paper, gas etc, general maintenance at Anchorage ie generator servicing, replacing of broken lights, taps etc, monthly report for newsletter.
  • Organises fishing / crabbing events, tallies points for annual presentation night and keeps record of attendance for Vice Commodore & monthly report for newsletter.

Kevin Sones

Booking Officer

Receives cabins / lockers / visitor bookings & payments; passing funds to treasurer at monthly meeting, informing Anchorage Captain if any repairs required in cabins, control of waiting list for lockers & monthly report for newsletter.

Frieda Smith

Merchandise Officer
Orders, sells & stocktake of all club merchandise, organises quotes & samples for various items, keeps accurate receipts of sales, and passes funds to treasurer at monthly meeting & report for monthly newsletter.

Dale Smith

Newsletter Editor
Responsible for the development of the newsletter, which will include any safety or interesting boating information as required.

Vacant Role

Assistant Secretary
Supports the Secretary in non auditable roles, Reportable to Secretary.

Robert Petherbridge

Seafari Captain
Organises seafari events, keeps record of attendance for Vice Commodore & monthly report for newsletter

Leigh Townsend

QRBC
QLD Recreational Boating Council (QRBC) - Consists of delegates from Maritime Safety QLD (MSQ), Dept of Primary Industries QLD (Fisheries), QLD Water Police, Marine Rescue QLD and variety of QLD Boat / Yacht Club Representatives on a monthly basis to discuss anything Marine, Fishing, Legal / Illegal activities, Dredging, Safety Incidents, Infrastructure updates i.e. boat ramps etc.

Adam Webb, Scott Ward

Anchorage Assistants
Supports Anchorage Captain in day to day running and maintenance of Anchorage, Reportable to Rear Commodore.

Britt Keding & Nicole McPhillips

Social Committee
Organises Social Functions, Reportable to Vice Commodore.
